As a Product Design Intern of Geek Internship Summer 2025, you will be an integral part of a real team working collaboratively to build a real product from its initial stages. This team will be coached and supported by a Senior team member throughout the entire process. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full spectrum of product development, from understanding the business problem and user needs to designing intuitive and engaging user experiences & interfaces.
I. Understanding the Problem & Users:
- Business Problem Understanding:
- Participate in discussions with stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of business pain points and objectives.
- Engage with the operational teams to understand their current workflows, challenges, and needs related to the potential product.
- User Research & Ideation:
- Participate in planning and conducting user research activities (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability testing) to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points.
- Contribute to User Personas & Journey Mapping: Help in creating user personas and user journey maps to visualize user interactions and identify key touchpoints.
- Analyze User Feedback: Assist in gathering and analyzing user feedback to inform design decisions.
II. Designing the User Experience & Interface:
- Information Architecture & Wireframing: Assist in developing information architecture, user flows, and creating wireframes (low-fidelity prototypes) to structure the product and user interactions.
- Prototyping: Create interactive prototypes (mid to high-fidelity) using design tools to test and iterate on design concepts.
- Visual Design: Contribute to the visual design of the product, including UI elements, typography, color palettes, and imagery, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
- Interaction Design: Design intuitive and engaging interactions, considering usability and accessibility principles.
III. Collaboration:
